Producer Livestreams: One of the best ways to get good at making music fast

When I first learned how to make music in Ableton in 2010 I was lucky enough to watch a few of my friends every week. I saw them work in person and I learned how to make music VERY fast. 

In my opinion there's no better way to learn than watching somebody talented teach you in person. In person sessions with mentors are unmatched for learning.

Not everyone has a dedicated mentor available every week, so that brings us to the the next best option: Producer Livestreams. 

There are many notable producers and DJs that have just livestreamed their sessions making music for FREE, especially in 2020! Lucky for us, the internet and youtube has archived a lot of this footage.

 I'm going to list the most valuable dance music livestreams I have found in one place. These are absolutely priceless and are jammed packed with music making knowledge from some of the best out there.

I love all of these streams for different reasons, but one of the main concepts across all of these is getting a peek under the hood of some of the biggest songs. A big takeaway is not necessarily the complex production techniques, but it's more how the best assemble ideas, move quickly with inspiration, and professionally process sounds. They use a lot of the same techniques we all do when making music and that gives us inspiration and makes our goals of writing big music more attainable.
